Welcome

In recent years Teaching Assistants have begun to play an increasingly important role in helping schools and LEA's improve the quality of education for all children.

Middlesbrough Children Families and Learning Acknowledge, and value this work, and are investing lots of time and money for Teaching Assistants working in Middlesbrough schools.

As Advisory Teaching Assistant for Middlesbrough it is my intention to provided quality information, training, and guidance for all Teaching Assistants of Middlesbrough.

In order to do this I have developed the Teaching Assistants website.

  • The Aim of the Teaching Assistant s website is
  • To provide resources
  • Have access to up to date information
  • Dates, times and venues of training courses
  • The latest news
  • Contact names
Middlesbrough Children Families and Learning are working closely with local colleges and universities looking at professional development and the best possible routes into teaching. Through this the CFL department are putting together some excellent packages. We are also looking at the training needs, which we hope to provide Teaching Assistants, with knowledge of the day-to-day education, for the children of Middlesbrough.

Please contact Carole Tonner (Advisory Teaching Assistant) if you have any questions or ideas that will enhance the partnership between school, Teaching Assistants and Middlesbrough Children Families and Learning Department.
